Module Seven & Graduation
Saturday 27 May Full Day: Prayer ~ A Dialogue with God with Paula McGregor
The final module for WMI will consist of a morning of prayer.
Together we will discover the power and passion of prayer. Many times in our Christian life we find it difficult to converse with our heavenly Father. The reasons for not praying as we ought are many and varied, however it is in our time alone with God that we are strengthened, and encouraged. It is through prayer we come to know God in a more intimate & personal way.
Prayer should be an essential part of every Christian’s, daily life. It is prayer that anchors our very soul and allows us to come boldly to heaven’s throne. We become better able to carry on in the work God has called us to. As E. M. Bounds observed, “To pray is the greater thing we can do…true praying has the largest results for good…we cannot do too much of real praying.”
Intercession can be difficult, and perplexing, but battles are won when we intercede for others. We will gain powerful tools for greater fervency, and frequency as we pray. Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, "Lord, teach us to pray, …" Luke 11:1
Paula has journeyed with Jesus for many years. As a young child she would share her love of Jesus with her teddy bears and taught them what she had learned in Sunday School.
She is humbled how God has so graciously equipped her to serve Him in His vineyard. Paula knows it is only through God’s strength that she has been able to teach children and women, guiding and influencing them in a growing Christian faith. Paula graduated from WMI in 2011 and served as WMI’s Prayer Co-Ordinator on the Leadership Team for 5 years.
Paula has been married to her high school sweetheart, James for 43 years. Together they have 2 married sons, and 5 grandchildren. Having family around brings much joy. Paula & James moved to Huntsville in 2008, and enjoy many activities that Muskoka offers, including boating, swimming, walking and snow shoeing. Their dog Riley, a golden doodle who thinks he’s a golden retriever, keeps them active and brings them much joy. Paula enjoys cheering on the Leafs, Jays and Argos, while crocheting.
Graduation
The final module of WMI will be held in person at Emmanuel Church Barrie. Following lunch, there will be a Graduation Ceremony to acknowledge and celebrate what our students have accomplished throughout the year. This is a very special time for our students and guests.
